This is a three-week, interactive course where you will engage in moderation activities and gain an understanding of the moderation process and assessment best practice. Courses will be held every second month.
Unit standard 11551 ensures teaching practitioners can confidently quality assure assessment materials and assessor decisions. This capability is essential for maintaining fair, valid, and nationally consistent assessment practice across unit-standard based programmes.
This programme supports professional adult and tertiary educators to understand how to review, check, and confirm the accuracy and consistency of assessment materials and assessor decisions.

This programme is designed for professional adult and tertiary teaching practitioners, including anyone delivering unit standard–based training who needs to moderate assessment materials and assessor decisions.
You’ll learn how to confidently moderate assessment materials and assessor decisions in line with national quality assurance expectations.
The programme runs over three weeks and includes pre-reading, workbook activities, and three two-hour online sessions.
The course fee is $300 + GST, which includes all course materials, online sessions, and assessment support.
Courses run every second month.
